Blessings light on thee
noble house,
May the lion and unicorn
In gladdening heraldry
rouse
The spirits of the
British born;
And all the admiring
persons
That with an envy see thy
rule
Gladd'ning our nations'
orisons
Like a moonlit and
starlit pool.
The embossed insignia
weds
Proud countries close
together stood,
Which the animous nation
dreads,
And the friendly bonds
with the good.
May there be no
diminution
Of the thousand ties
which link arms,
Like the threaded
tapestry's seams,
Preserving thee from
foreign harms,
And ensures the plenteous
dreams
That form together the
royal soul
Of this nation's
traditional
Lineage, a face, and a
coin
Of minted worth and blood
loyal,
Right and distinction,
far espied.
With the legend of ages
told,
The things that sacrifice
denies,
The histories in reams
are scrolled.
By bulwarks guarded, life
descries
The real glories that
made thee kings
And queens of a
commonwealth far
Spanning the oceans'
tides, and brings
Prosperity in every bar.
